Entry Requirements by Grade
Trinity College School, commonly known as TCS, serves students from Grades 5 through 12. The school explicitly identifies Grades 5 and 7 as its main Junior School entry years. Grades 6 and 8 also accept applications, but spaces are typically more limited.

Entrance Assessment
Junior School applicants in Grades 5 through 8 complete a writing and math assessment in a group setting. TCS states that students do not need to prepare specifically for these assessments.
Senior School applicants in Grades 9 through 12 complete a virtual English and math assessment. The test:
is multiple choice;
lasts approximately 40 minutes;
evaluates verbal and basic mathematical skills;
uses thinking, reasoning and problem-solving questions; and
is followed by a short writing sample.
Different assessment levels are used based on the applicant's age and grade.
Applicants who have recently completed another standardized assessment such as the SSAT, CAT or MAP may contact TCS to determine whether those results can be accepted instead of the school's English and math assessment.
Admissions Process
Applicants complete a parent questionnaire and submit:
a teacher recommendation from an English or math teacher;
a student self-reflection questionnaire;
two years of year-end academic reports; and
identification documentation.
Applicants then complete the required assessment activities and a one-on-one student interview.
Junior School applicants also complete a short reading activity as part of their campus visit.
